Early in the CQI process we learned, through the Quality Service Review (QSR) process, that a high number of parents and children in the child welfare system had been exposed to trauma. In February of 2008, our case reviewers began collecting information related to accounts of trauma-inducing events these individuals were exposed to during their lifetimes. This report seeks to inform DCF and its state partners about the prevalence and types of trauma documented as part of the QSR.

The following report summarizes the CQI Section's review of ICWA compliance in the counties they reviewed in 2011.
